FAQs
If you do have any enquiries that not listed in this section,
please kindly drop us an email or contact spellbound wedding.
1.Can I cancel my booking or postpone the date?
Deposits are non refundable and postponement of dates are subject to our availability. If we are available for the new date, we would be most happy to assist you. There wil be a 20% service and administration penalty imposed on the final fee/cost.
2.What is the average cost for decoration, catering, etc?
It depends on the venue, menu, decorations, number of guests, date of function. What is important is that you must have an idea of your budget and then you should share with us the budget.
We will then advise you if the budget is workable or if it too much (yes, we have told our clients that before) or too little (sometimes...) If you are not sure, then, you must tell us the venue, the number of guests and date, and from there, we will give you an idea of the costs involved.
3.Do I need to engage Spellbound as my wedding planner and thus incur extra costs?
It depends on what exactly it is that you forsee the planner to do. Spellbound wedding planner works closely with the couple and their appointed external vendors in order to ensure that the big day is run smoothly.
If you think about it, our charges are not for just one day, but for the entire journey to the big day. It saves you time (and time is a precious commodity these days) and allow you to enjoy the whole process while we figure out the details and arrange the wedding for you. Having an experience and dedicate pair of hands will help both of you (and your family!) to have a wonderful time.
Please refer to our Wedding Services section for full details.
Therefore if you are thinking of engaging a wedding planner, have a talk with us and we will help you to decide if you need to engage us.
4.What's the difference between booking with Spellbound and booking with the caterer directly
Spellbound handles the food and décor, without charging you anything extra in terms of handling fee. Engaging Spellbound means that you have one less vendor to deal with.
Anna has over five years of experience in coordinating these, and she knows many of the venues operators so she can advise you on the type of catering, seatings, decorations, etc that is appropriate to your needs.
5.I'm very particular about the flowers, will Spellbound guaranteed that I get them?
It really depends on the type of flowers. Some flowers bloom all year round, while others are seasonal. We will share with you what flowers they are and optionals to stand by just in case.
What we can guaranteed is that you will not have any "unpleasant" surprises on your wedding day, as we deliver what we promised. Hence we do very few weddings per day, preferably one per day. Our philosophy is that we love flowers and we want to
be proud of what we do.
6.Must I book catering AND decorations from Spellbound?
No, it is not necessary to book both from Spellbound.
You may choose to have another caterer but book the flower decorations with Spellbound, and vice versa. We have done flower orders for guests who chose to do their banquets at hotels such as Fullerton
or Hyatt Hotel.
7. When should bookings be placed for the catering and decorations?
There is no exact lead time, though a few months ahead is a good indicator.
For weddings decorations in the month of April and August, a lead time of at least four months is good, as it is during these times that we usually take a break from work to recharge for new ideas and to rest.
